IM/IV Nutrient Therapy

I prescribe nutrient IV's for 3 conditions: Nutrient deficiencies, athletic performance enhancement, and to reduce the time and severity of colds, flu's and cold sores.

Providing nutrition through the vascular system is a great way to overcome nutrient deficiencies in situations of malabsorption, intense athletic training, and acute or chronic disease. All these situations create a high demand on nutrient reserves and can result in deficiencies. The gut, particularly in today's modern society, can lose it's ability to properly absorb nutrients. If you have ever done a round of antibiotics and did not rebuild a proper bio-film in your intestines by taking probiotics and preprebiotics, you quite possibly could have a dysbiosis causing a sub-par digestive system and a compromised nutrient status. A standard nutrient IV done weekly for 4-6 weeks can overcome most deficiencies.

Other excellent uses of IV/IM nutrient therapy is to optimize athletic performance. Many patients get a Nutrient IV a day or two before an event and notice a marked improvement in performance. It's also a great post race protocol to facilitate recovery.

At the first sign of a cold, getting a nutrient IV can reduce the time and severity of the sickness.

NMT is manipulation of the joints. I have gravitated towards physical modalities and focus much of my time on joint manipulation and injection therapies. I firmly believe that every doctor should be able to heal with their hands. Touch , when properly developed, is one of our greatest senses and can be a powerful tool in gauging a patients status.
